One day after her latest film premiered on Amazon Prime Video, Anne Hathaway decided to make her promotional push for The Idea Of You a little more personal.
On Friday, the Hollywood leading lady took to her Instagram page and shared a selfie wearing an August Moon T-shirt, which is a fictional boy band whose lead singer is at the center of the film's love story.
For the photo, Hathaway flashed a big smile as she showed off the white T-shirt that had colorful images of the fake boy band members.
In the romantic comedy, Hathaway plays Solène Marchand, a gallery owner, divorcee and mother who hooks up at Coachella with the singer of a popular boy band who's 16 years younger.
As the story unfolds, Solène becomes more uncomfortable about her age in relation to the other women traveling with the group as she tries to keep their burgeoning romance a secret.
Anne Hathaway, 41, wore an 'August Moon' t-shirt as part of her promotion for her new romantic comedy film The Idea Of You on Friday
Directed by Michael Showalter who worked from a screenplay that he co-wrote with Jennifer Westfeldt, The Idea Of You is based on the novel of the same name by Robinne Lee.
Hathaway, 41, stars alongside British actor Nicholas Galitzine, 29.
In recent days the actress has been on the promotional push for the new film, including interviews, red carpet appearances and social media posts.
Earlier on Friday, she posted a lively video of the crew all gathered to take a group photo outside home in a suburban neighborhood.
'Thank you so much to Michael Showalter and to every single human being who contributed to making #theideaofyou such a beyond beautiful experience,' she gushed in the caption.
She then explained: 'This video was taken just after we took our crew photo and there was so much love going around it was insane…'
The star of the film would also make a point to single out Galitzine and offer up some high praise.
'Also, a HUGE thank you to my co-star @nicholasgalitzine who gives such a special and unforgettable performance as Hayes Campbell in the film. Thank you for the banter, and for keeping calm and carrying on without ever losing the fun xx.'
